Jesus said : “My sheep hear my voice; I know them , and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish. No one can take them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can take them out of the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one.”
John 10:27-30

Father , You called Saint Peter Chanel to work for Your Church and gave him the crown of martyrdom. May our celebration of Christ’s death and resurrection make us faithful witnesses to the new life He brings , for He lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. + Amen

The one month catechism summer course at St. Louis Mary de Montfort Church ended last Monday, April 23rd. The pastor of the church Fr. Joseph Prasarn organizes this course every summer to educate Catholic Thai children about the rites and teachings of the Catholic Church and the Bible. Today , qualified children enrolled in this course will be receiving their First Holy Communion. The pastor scheduled this event today the 28th to coincide with the feast day of St. Louis Mary de Montfort, the patron saint of this church.
Let us pray that the children who will be receiving their First Holy Communion today will grow up to be Catholics with love and fear of God.
Let us pray that the parents of all Catholic Thai children , especially the children enrolled in this course will do their part to continually educate their children in the faith.
Let us pray for all the religious people who are educating the young Catholics of Thailand, that God bless them and give them physical and spiritual strength and resources to continue with their mission.
Let us pray for the pastor of this church, Fr. Joseph Prasarn for his dedication in serving the parishioners of this church especially the children.
God Bless all the children, their parents and families, the catechists and everyone involved in this program.

Prayer to St. Mark
O Glorious St. Mark, through the grace of God our Father, you became a great Evangelist, preaching the Good News of Christ. May you help us to know Him well so that we may faithfully live our lives as followers of Christ. +Amen

Saints are venerated as they reflect the glory of God. John 17: 20-23 “The glory you have given me I have given to them”. St. Paul says God honors those who are righteous. Romans 2:4-11 “For he will give man according to his works. Those who patiently do good works , seek glory and honor and immortality, he will be given eternal life…. glory and honor to every one who does good”. Romans 13:1-7 instructs us to “respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.”

Father, you filled St. Fidelis with the fire of your love and gave him the privelege of dying that the faith might live. Let his prayers keep us firmly grounded in your love and help us to come to know the power of Christ’s resurrection. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. +Amen

Jesus said to to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was distressed that Jesus had ask to him a third time, “Do you love me?” and he said to Him, “Lord you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him , ” Feed my sheep.

An Open Letter to JM
My dearest JM,
Before you were born and the ultrasound revealed that you are a baby boy, happiness filled my heart. I had plans on what toys to buy you, plans on decorating your room, thought of things that you would need as a baby and imagined a lot of what sort of a child you would be when you grow up. I made plans for your future and always thought that you would grow up to be a fine young man who is God fearing and well educated. You brought life, happiness and laughter in our home that used to be so quiet without you and I love you for this. I prayed hard to God so I would have you and made a promise to Him that when the time is right, I would glady return back all the blessings through you that He has given me by offering you to serve the church. And the time came. You have served our church faithfully for the past two years and your presence at every mass brought smile and happiness to every member of the congregation including the fathers and the brothers. Thank you for this.
Still I pray that when you grow up you would continue serving the church in every way possible , and may not forget that in years more to come that the Lord is always around to guide, protect and enlighten you especially in most troubled times.
Thank you my dearest son for being here with me, thank you for all the joys and happiness you have brought and continue to bring to my life.
God Bless You Always.
With Much Love,
Mom
