Show a gentle attitude toward everyone. The Lord is coming soon. Don’t worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask with a thankful heart. And God’s peace which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7

We know that in all things God works for good with those who love Him, those whom  He has called according to His purpose. Those whom God  had already chosen He also set apart to become like His Son, so that the Son would be the first among many brothers. And so those whom God set apart, He called and those He called, He put right with Himself, and He shared His glory with them.

Romans 8:28-30

Born in the third century in Mauretania, Victor was called Maurus to distinguish him from other confessors called Victor. He was a Christian from youth, but it was not until he was an elderly that he was arrested for defending the  Faith. Victor suffered severe tortures , and was decapitated under Maximian in Milan in the year 303. A church was constructed over his grave and according to St. Gregory of Tours, miracles occurred in his shrine. The relics of Victor were transferred in a church in Milan in the year 1576 at the request of St. Charles of Borromeo. This church in Milan was established by the Olivetan monks and still bears his name today. Despite his old age and failing health he remained steadfast in the Faith. Today, May 8th, we celebrate his feast day.
