Full moon at 4:30 p.m.

Tranquil and serene environment.

Water plants love the cool weather and water. See how healthy they grow.

Three tone Crown of Thorns flowers in a cluster. Blooming beautifully in rainless weather.

Last Sunday was different from other Sundays in the past . For the first time , all three of us toured the mighty river of kings way far out of the city. It used to be just me , or my husband and I. This time JM was with us . This is the third boat trip he’s ever had and the longest at that. Before reaching the port , we passed by Assumption Cathedral (this church leads to the port) , took some photos and were off. The weather was cool , and the skies grey and gloomy as it’s been for the past several months now. The boat was full of people and it took three ports before I finally got a seat. We saw lots of famous landmarks along the river but its a pity I failed to take photos of them all . Inspite of the rain and rough waters the boat trip turned out to be an enjoyable , educational and memorable one . Photos below :

Assumption Cathedral

Memorial Bridge

Chinese Pagoda

Rest House

Navy Station

A river barge used to transport sand , rocks , stones , rice and other heavy commodities to the city.

JM enjoying the boat trip

Houses obstructing the full view of Sta. Cruz Convent

Suspended Bridge

Temple of the Emerald Buddha

Temple of the Dawn

View of the city in the impending rain and rough waters.

For a young boy, these things look like life size toys that he can play with and he loves them ! A real cool ship he explored from every nook and corner, machine guns, cannons and all kinds of vintage ammunions and navy stuff which he enjoyed looking at and playing with all day. All these at the Navy Open Air Museum. Plus, a real cool navy park with all kinds of sea animals and plants surviving in sea water which he explored all afternoon! He really had a great time, he kept re-telling his nice experiences all the way home. Photos below :

For the past several months, I have taken numerous photos of places, events and other things which I find interesting and unusual. I would like to share some of these in the post today.

Mortuary with a bell tower. The lower floor of the tower is used for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Garland traditionally used as offering in altars and churches.

Bouquets on a pew. Awaiting the arrival of the bridal party.

Lone Yellow Bell

Guardians of the Garden

Suntan

Buddhist Temple
